Alabama Shakes is an American rock band formed in 2009 in Athens, Alabama. Led by Brittany Howard, the band gained fame with their debut album Boys & GirlsĀ (2012), featuring the Grammy-nominated hit "Hold On." Their second album, Sound & ColorĀ (2015), debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and won three Grammy Awards, including Best Rock Song for "Don't Wanna Fight." The band has earned a total of four Grammys, including one for their performance in The American Epic Sessions.
